From March 31 – April 12, Copper Mountain Resort is proud to host the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) National Championships. Almost 2,000 ski and snowboard athletes are set to descend onto the resort for 12 days to compete in disciplines such as GS, SL, slopestyle, boarder/ski cross, halfpipe and rail jam. USASA is a non-profit grassroots organization with 32 regional divisions nationwide. Each of these divisions support athletes of all ages and abilities in local and regional competitions. These events are held in order to not only garner points to qualify for the National Championships but build life skills meant to last. USASA strives to provide a platform for athletes to progress competitively in an environment that’s encouraging and fun.
Woodward and Copper’s ongoing commitment to empower and inspire youth through sports, community, and culture is demonstrated as 1500+ snowboard and freeski athletes from across the U.S. come together to compete in the winter season finale
